Patch in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update Removes Windows Media Player

@ 2017/10/12
Betanews reports that testers installing update KB4046355 removes Windows Media Player on WIndows 10 Fall Creators Update. Listed as FeatureOnDemandMediaPlayer update, this could possibly be one of the many features that the company plans to "remove" and "deprecate." Although the company has yet to respond officially, Microsoft still plans to release Windows 10 Fall Creators Update on October 17. Users can still reinstall the program through Apps>Apps & Features in the settings menu. While it could be argued that Windows Media Player is no longer an essential addition to Windows -- there are plenty of quality third-party alternatives, such as VLC Media Player, not to mention the Films & TV app in Windows 10 itself -- many users still rely on it.
