@ 2005/07/22
The live stress test of power supply units has been running for more than a week, and the strongest power supply unit with 850 watts has survived 24 hours under maximum load. We're talking about a black 7.7 lb (3.5 kg) monster intended for high-performance desktops or workstations.......

Noise reading at full load: 72 dB(A) in 12 centimeter gaps ......

Noise measurement at max load: 60 dB(A) at 5 inch (12 cm) distance ........

Noise measurement at full load: 65 dB(A) at 12 centimeters .......

Noise reading at maximum load: 68.3 dB(A) in 4.7" (12 cm) gaps ...

12cm distance to record sound is... waaaaaaaay to close, unless you work with your head next to the PSU, those numbers don't mean a lot

30cm minimum distance, 50~70cm ideal

What the hell happens to those 19 dBA fans people are begging for? They don't exist in real life, gentlemen.

Trust your ears, not your eyes when sound is concern.
