During its scheduled pre-MWC 2017 event, LG has officially unveiled its new G6 flagship smartphone, coming with a FullVision 18:9 aspect-ratio 5.7-inch screen and powered by Qualcomm's well-known Snapdragon 821 SoC.

The big portion of the presentation was focused on a 5.7-inch IPS LCD panel with 18:9 aspect ratio (or simply 2:1), which LG calls FullVision. It has a 2880x1440 resolution, which adds up to a pixel density of 565ppi. The 2:1 aspect ratio is not a novelty as such Univisium format has been used for shooting several movies, allowing directors to fit more scene in the frame.

LG also talked and invested a lot of research in the ergonomics part of the new LG G6 flagship, claiming that it has managed to squeeze in a 5.7-inch screen in a 5.2-inch size smartphone, measuring at 148.9x71.9x7.9mm, which is quite an achievement. The LG G6 ends up with around 78 percent body-to-screen ratio, which is not half bad.
