Google is reported to be set to announce two new smartwatches in Q1 2017 based on Android Wear 2.0 platform, a redesigned version of Android geared towards wearable devices.
The company’s Android Wear platform was originally announced in March 2014 and accounted for less than 15.2 percent of smartwatch shipments in 2015, with projected growth for this year at 25 percent of shipments.
