@ 2015/12/24HTC Vive is going through the last set of chances and controllers are one of the final pieces of the puzzle.
The new VR kit should ship by April 2016 but we have seen that the final product has been delayed before. This is a date one can hope for.
The new controllers might be near final if not the final final version and they look polished. The new controller looks much more like a retail ready product.
Fudzilla has used an earlier version of controllers that worked just fine. It takes a bit to get use to controllers in real 3D space but you can learn to aim, shoot or pick up things rather fast.
HTC will continue to work with partners and showcase this technology a few more times before April announcements and we still don’t know how much is vive going to sell for. The 2016 seems to be the birth year of the real Virtual reality devices but it will take a few more years to get the technology at better levels.
