Behind the Closed Doors of AMD's Chip Production

@ 2005/04/19
Meanwhile, we wanted to take a close-up look at technological innovations in AMD's chip production, such as the the use of "strained silicon". Up to now, Intel was the only maker to use "strained silicon" to make all of the cores in its 90nm production process (Prescott, Dothan, etc.). However, AMD remains tight-lipped about its deployment of low-k dielectric materials, so we have no information to report about that.
