Google Launches a New Kind of Desktop Chrome App

Chrome Apps; not just for the Net any longer. Chrome has introduced a new class of Apps made specifically to operate natively on your desktop and operate offline. And, in a major new feature, Google is now introducing the Chrome App Launcher for Windows machines, which will live in your taskbar and allow you to launch Chrome apps almost like any other application on your computer.
