As data transfer requirements become ever higher, the market is making the transition from 10/100 to Gigabit Ethernet for optimal performance. Through PCI Express x1 connections the VIA K8T890 chipset enables optimal Gigabit Ethernet connectivity with 250MB/s bandwidth per direction, satisfying even the most intense data transfer requirements.

Optimized for a complete range of AMD Athlon 64, Athlon 64 FX, Opteron, and Sempron processors, VIA K8T890 Series chipsets feature the unique VIA Flex Express Architecture to allow the industry’s most flexible implementations of PCI Express devices.
