Why Intel Picking Up AMD Might Make Sense

Several years ago people wouldn't have given much thought to Intel buying up AMD simply because both were the major competitors in the same market and it would have been considered a monopoly for Intel. Times have changed along with the chip market and now the once far flung idea is looking more like a good move for Intel. With ARM staying the dominant instruction set in the phone and tablet space, Intel is facing a serious issue as Apple, Samsung, Qualcomm and Nvidia are all making money on ARM chips.
