Memory is EXPENSIVE......
The money you spend on 2 sticks of 512 could get you a complete Dell system.

One system with 2x512; all others 256.
Never able to taste much gain until my brother loaded up a 2 GB Invector5 plant piping drawing data file. I talked to myself that the day I need to load up a 2GB data file to number crushing is far and in between.

256 Mb
Comment from jort @ 2004/12/06
2 x 512
ocz pc3700 gold rev2

before that 2x256 takems pc 3200

i'll never buy such memory anymore

in games like doom3 you notice that VERY good when you have more memory
Comment from ph0ton @ 2004/12/06

only when you like to have more apps open at the same time + run games like D3/FarCry/HL2
Comment from Magnum_ @ 2004/12/05
1gb
Is there much difference noticeable when you put more memory in?
Comment from Da_BoKa @ 2004/12/05
1 gig kingston value
Comment from agent #2 @ 2004/12/05
1 GB OCZ platinum 3200 rev 2.

Makes a diffrence in loading times imo.
Comment from kr15t0f @ 2004/12/05
512MB It's still good enough. But if I make an upgrade to A64 I will also but 1GB ram
Comment from jmke @ 2004/12/05
"@JMKE: because I love this ram, but doesn't wonna go above 250htt"

memory dividers on NF3 work superbly
Comment from Dentnvr6 @ 2004/12/05
@JMKE: because I love this ram, but doesn't wonna go above 250htt and doesn't accept anything above 2 cas latency.
okay; would like to have both!
Comment from kristos @ 2004/12/05
1gig (I think corsair xms 3500 v1.1 right now) and pleased with it.
defenately an improvement over 512 in some games.

although that once I can spare the money, I'll get me a gamepc that I won't' start messing with and I'll defenately have 2gig in it. mucho better for mmorpg games
Comment from StaRflaM @ 2004/12/05
1gig value kingston, it's no oc ramm but it's just for everyday use and i'm gonna but 256mb of good ramm one of these months
Comment from calantak @ 2004/12/05
my analytic mind was confused
Comment from jmke @ 2004/12/05
blah; you know how the poll is meant to be; if you vote less then <2049, then it means you got more then 1gb in your system right?
Comment from calantak @ 2004/12/05
this is a weird poll John, everybody has less then 2049 here...
or am I missing sth
Comment from jmke @ 2004/12/05
uhm; there is no tangible performance advantage on S754 when running high HTT speeds with memory 1:1. So I would not know why you would change out that memory
Comment from Dentnvr6 @ 2004/12/05
1gig mushkin high perf level II (bh5)
happy with the amount, but there's always room for improvement.
I would like to change them to the V2 (tccd) though
Comment from jmke @ 2004/12/05
1.5Gb;
2x512MbCorsair PC3200 Pro 1x512Mb PC3200 Mushkin LVLII

a joy to work with
Comment from wutske @ 2004/12/05
512mb, tough I would be happy w/ 1024mb (especialy if it's given away (hint hint) (sometimes running out of memory.
Comment from easypanic @ 2004/12/05
512, enough for me till now
