Infineon execs go to jail for DRAM price fixing

THE DEPARTMENT of Justice said that four employees of Infineon have pleaded guilty to charges of price fixing DRAM.
Three German citizens and one US citizen will each pay $250,000 in fines as well as serving between four to six months in jail.

The individuals concerned are T. Rudd Corwin, Peter Schaefer, Gunter Hefner and Heinrich Florian.

The price fixing happened between 1999 and 2002, and are the first employees of memory companies to plead guilty to such charges.

The DoJ is still investigating other alleged offences by companies and people working for Samsung, for Micron and for Hynix. ยต
