Gmail update for iOS brings swiping between messages without returning to your inbox

If going all the way back to your inbox to peruse those Gmail threads on your Apple handset was a little too taxing, relief has arrived. Google has updated said app for the iPhone and iPad to enable swiping between messages without the need to return to the main repository. Version 2.1 also makes wrangling multiple emails at the same time a bit easier. When a message is selected, edit mode kicks into gear for archiving, deleting and other essential tasks via a novel actions bar atop the UI.
