Default transmeta ecs laptop

what do you guys think about those transmeta-powered laptops?
i need a laptop for work (office etc, networking)
and personal pleasure (wifi, svideo)
it has all these features, but will it stand through time?
and above all, how fast is it?

Have you searched google?

512kb l2 indicates it's not a low budget processor. Keep in mind german keyboards are "qwertz".

Qwerty is a better keyboard layout.
