Introduction

Sunbeamtech send their Automaton in for review, a case with looks inspired from Alienware cases; made from aluminium and with a low entry price it aims to capture the budget-minded enthusiasts out there. Let’s see if they succeeded.

The Automaton is carefully packed and protected inside the cardboard box pictured above. There not much wiggle room left with all the foam padding:

On the outside of the box you’ll find the specifications, depending on your country/shop the final config might differ slightly, the one we received had the following specs:

As you can see, the Automaton can be had without a transparent side panel, in different colors, with/without a PSU. The overall weight is quite low as they used aluminium for most the construction panels of this case.

The piano black finish is protected from smudges and finger prints by an adhesive film which is placed on all visible panels of the case:

to bad, i liked the general idea behind it.

And i hope they do like you said at the end. That they use this case and tweak it down to something better

There is alot of room for improvements
