Introduction:Until some time ago, water cooling was more something for the do it yourselfers.
Some companies wanted to bring water cooling to the masses (koolance,...)
Today we are reviewing an all-in-one solution from
Corsair.
Corsair is well known for their high performance memory. Today they are introducing their first water cooling unit.
Thanks to
Corsair we have 2 units we can review.
We'll test this puppy on a P4 and XP system comparing them to air cooling, another all-in-one kit and a custom water cooling setup.
But let us first begin with some specifications:
Extracts up to 200W of heat from a PC CPU
Extremely low noise
Included CPU water block fits both P4 and K7
High efficiency water block and heat exchanger gives RSA rating of 0.13
Rugged high reliability 12V in line pump
Visual flow meter confirms water flow
Non - drip quick connect hoses allow system to be easily separated from PC with no leaks
Real time temperature display in both
Centigrade and Fahrenheit
Programmable alarms and emergency shut down
The HydroCool200 is a chassis independent, high efficiency, self contained PC liquid cooling system designed to ensure optimal cooling under high performance loads without generating excessive noise levels
Let's find out if this statement is true...
