Bios exploration

On this page you'll find the most relevant screenshot from the Bios from the two boards we had here to play with. Especially the tweaking and overclocking options will be put in the spotlights. Let's start with the Asus board.

Asus P6T Deluxe


The (second) welcome screen of the Asus Mainboard. Instead of only showing a logo or info, you'll already have a few possibilities. You can enter express gate, boot to OS, or enter BIOS. We'll start with a little detour trough express gate.


Express gate is actually a little OS. After the first setup wizard you'll see this screen.


Opening an application, such as the photo viewer, gives you this.


This piece of software is installed / controlled by a little piece of PCB, installed between the lowest PCI and PCIe slot. And can't be removed ;).


This is where the magic happens.

Almost everything you can think of can be changed here. Some of the most used options detailed:

Min = 0.85000 V

Max = 1.90000 V
