Installation detailed

Installation

With the side panel removed you have full access the case internal, do note that the motherboard tray is not removal, this to reduce cost and increase strength of the case construction.

Let’s start with the hard drives, NZXT provides two 3.5” HDD mounting racks, good for up to 8 hard drives, quite impressive!

Installation of the hard drives into the racks is tool less but the racks are screwed tight into the case; you can remove the rack for easier access;

The 5.25” bays come equipped with integrated tool less fixation, a plastic plug at the side locks them into place once you have slid them far enough inside the case:

Do note that there are holes to screw half-length 5.25” devices (like fan controllers) correctly into place.

The expansion slots are not tool less, they are definitely the least fancy part of the NZXT Tempest:

Here’s a shot of the HDD bays, you can also spot the half-length 5.25” fan controller:

lol, I just noticed that the result chart on the last page was incorrect; it didn't even include NZXT Tempest; I wonder how this could have gone undetected for so long
