Overclocking/Overclocking Tests by windwithme @ 2008-04-04

The Xeon X3320 is the server version of the desktop Q9300 Quad Core processor, the new 45nm process makes this a cool running CPU. In this quick overclocking test we see if the X3320 which comes with stock 2.5Ghz clocks is any good at overclocking. Similar priced as the Q9300 it will be interesting.

At 3.6Ghz those four cores will make any application fly, if you look at the Cinebench results you’ll notice that scaling is almost near 100%!

For running X3320 daily, you can reduce overclock to 3Ghz, lower vcore, and get cool temperatures to boot. This is at full load, in open test bench.
