[M]emory roundup Q1 2003

Memory by richbastard @ 2003-04-24

With NForce2 motherboards capable of FSB speeds far beyond 200mhz and Intel Canterwood (875P) boards reaching an insane 300mhz FSB, it might be a good idea to go shop for some new memory.
Madshrimps has tested 7 popular high speed memory sticks for you. Different Corsair, TwinmoS, Apacer and Samsung sticks were put to the test. Which one will be your next buy?

TwinmoS

TwinmoS:
Dirty cheap doesn't always mean it performs badly.

PC3200: 50B

TwinmoS PC3200 comes in many flavours, and the one with mtec/twinmos "50B" chips is the most common one. Cheap, but very unpredictable. Some overclock like mad, other don't even reach stock speeds.

PC3200: winbond BH-5

Who needs pretested memory when you know the stick is equipped with winbond BH-5 chips? They're being sold at the same low price as any other TwinmoS pc3200 stick, but they overclock as well as the most expensive Corsair XMS memory....

Unfortunatly, they're pretty hard to find.
