XFX Geforce 8500GT Fatal1ty Video Card Review

The XFX Fatal1ty series have recently not only been upgraded in the mainstream segment, since few weeks we have now Fatal1ty entry-level graphics cards. Aimed at the professional gaming market, could we have a Best Buy in our hands?

Battlefield 2 is a large multiplayer game (or single player Skirmish if you play offline), it has a very scalable graphics engine but it’s known to be a resource hog. We loaded a single player game while the AI handled the enemy soldiers. The map we went through is called Strike at Karkand.

Just like with our Geforce 8400 GS video cards, Battlefield 2 ran flawless on 1024x768 with high details enabled. One could even consider using AF and Anti-Aliasing to smooth out the graphics a bit more.

XFX's Fatal1ty showed slightly improved performance, you won't notice it though, not even with the maximum stable clock settings, unless you increase the image quality settings.
