OCZ returns to Graphics Card Business with 8800 GTX

OCZ has been in the review spotlight for their excellent memory modules and high end power supply units, today we get a chance to test their latest product which reintroduces them into the graphics card area with a product based on the popular NVIDIA G80 Core. Our expectations are high, let´s find out if it can deliver.

Battlefield 2 is a large multiplayer game (or single player Skirmish if you play offline), it has a very scalable graphics engine but it’s known to be a resource hog. We loaded a single player game while the AI handled the enemy soldiers. The map we went through is called Strike at Karkand.

Battlefield 2 is one of the less stressful games we ran through. Both our high-end cards offered enjoyable frame rate at 1600x1200 with 4xAA 16AF enabled. With the 8800GTX we had 8xAA available in game, though even then the Battlefield 2 engine was running at a solid 100fps frame rate.
