Introducion, Specs & In the Box

Ione Technology is new to the European market, they are launching a wide variety of PC peripherals, mice, keyboards, webcams, infrared pointing devices and trackballs.

On the review table today is their wireless Lynx-R7 Optical Mouse. It’s not a pure gaming rodent, rather a high speed office product. It’s available in black or white and looks quite good, reminds me of Apple’s iPod design.

The Lynx-R7 comes in a revealing retail packaging which lists the products functionality clearly at the front, and in the top left corner you see it’s ready for the multi-lingual European market:

From the feature list what stands out is its use of 2.4ghz RF tech which gives it a operation range of up to 10 meter:

• 5 button optical mouse with scroll wheel
• Two-way 2,4GHz RF technology with 48 channels
• 800dpi optical resolution with motion detection up to 37 inches/sec and acceleration up to 20G
• Up to 10m operation range
• Modern design
• Low power consumption with smart power saving function
• Battery low indicator next to scroll wheel

Inside the package you’ll find everything needed to get started, no software is included as the USB Dongle will work plug & play from Windows 98 & up.
