LED Bars - Knight Rider Coming Your Way

LED Bars - Time to heat up the Solder Iron

Perhaps the most challenging aspect of this case mod, it took the longest to finish, I bought a controller print plate and accompanying led bars somewhere online… that was the easy part.

I started out by organizing all the parts of the kit:

The “brains” PCB:

Time to start soldering:

I marked the holes which I needed to make to fit a series of LED bars in the front panel:

And then I installed the LEDs (don’t pay too much attention at the cable mess ;))

The same was done for the top panel of the case, in the photo below you can see the LEDs installed but not yet hooked up

With everything hooked up I can control the LEDs through windows (USB) and make them move to the beat of the music, show CPU usage, give them a knight rider effect, and much more.
