NZXT Nemesis Elite Case Review

Cases & PSU/Cases by KeithSuppe @ 2006-09-25

NZXT builds some beloved cases, futuristic, sleek, aluminum designs many with LED monitoring features. Our illustrious editor reviewed the Lexa tower case last year which did well in the cooling department. Today we test the Nemesis Elite aluminum mid-tower.

Tooless or screw less is a concept NZXT has implemented with a little more success then others. The metal pins which secure the sliders onto the drives actually work. It's not that their as secure as a screw, just that they don?t have the propensity for popping out so much. Inside the case is a plastic box which snaps securely holding just about anything you need. This still leaves room for a HDD and of course the front facing bays allow two more HDD's to be installed.

Opening up the case it's easy to see the material used is aluminum, and while it's a standard plate thickness the metal itself seems to be an especially lightweight grade. With the exception of a plastic front door and upper LED monitoring section, this case is all aluminum.

As stated above the Nemesis Elite can house up to 9 drives. The only criticism I had was the amount of clearance in the dedicated HDD's bays (seen in the thumbnail above) which faced toward the window-side panel making for a tight fit where cabling is concerned. Looking to the rear of the case Nemesis accommodates one 12cm fan.
