Filling the AMMO with drives
The AMMO comes with a plug and play installation system for CD/DVD and HDD drives, it’s simple a matter of lining up the holes on the drive with the case and moving a slider.
After doing this the drive is secured and will not budge easily, if you want extra security you can use screws at the other side
Do note that the top grill on the case will be partially blocked if you use an optical drive in the upper 5.25” bay
Hard drives can be installed in a similar manner in the 2 available 3.5” bays
You can also use the removable hard drive bay, which sits right in front of the 120mm in take fan, placing a drive there will help keeping it cool for sure. The HDD needs two rails before it can fit inside the box.
Some cases allow the HDD to be turned 180° so the connector is facing the other way, this can facilitate getting the IDE/SATA neatly tucked away. However in the AMMO there is ample room at the front as the HDD are aligned with the right side panelSecurity
For a LAN party box it might be wise to have some sort of security so you can rest between games without worrying that somebody passing by pries open your case and takes off with your expensive graphics card. The AMMO box is a bit lacking in this department. The only measure of security is provided on the left side panel through the use of an O-ring piece of metal.
You still need a small Yale lock
to secure the panel.
