Antec Sonata II ATX Case Review

AMD or Intel; ATI or Nvidia; Water Cool or Air Cool; Huge heatsink or Normal size; it does not matter here; we are talking about a new Sonata II ATX case from Antec. Unless, you are one of those fanatics who doesn't need a case at all. Armed with 1x120 mm fan and room for one more it comes with unique fan duct. Can Sonata II be a quiet case?

The main feature of the Sonata II would be the special air duct it introduces -

Followed by the beefed up 450 Watts Power Supply with two 12 volt rails -

The second optional 120mm front intake fan is relocated farther inside the case "left of the HDD cage". The usual rubber grommets for the hard drive seating to isolate any unwanted noise can be seen here.

The air intake is pretty much unrestricted coming in from both large side vent holes of the front panel

Couple steps ahead of myself is the front three 5.25" and two 3.5" external drive bays
