Memory by petervandamned @ 2005-08-07

Goldfinger is back... with a vengeance. This time he has got his hands on some OCZ heat spreaders. Is it just a plated gold layer or plain gold? In other words: Will it go for the golden medal?

    Test Methodology

The very first thing I do with a set of brand new memory? I use Memtest at default setting for a few hour. No Overclock, no increased volt. Why? It's just a trick I do since I started overclocking a long time ago, called Burn-In, it might or might not work, but it doesn’t hurt to try.

After this I raise the volts on the memory to 3.3. Playing with some settings in the bios (CL2 2-2-7), I could get the memory to run at 265 MHz! Later on in windows i will try to get some more.

Not bad for a brand new set of memory and a new CPU. Should be interesting to see how far this memory will overclock after a bit of tweaking ->
