XE II Specifications

The VapoChill case has changed a bit since its first introduction, the model from 2000 looks really outdated compared to the new design, however this design has been in place since 2002, and although it still looks quite good, there is room for improvement:

Made completely out of metal it is a heavy and very sturdy case, it should be because there is a 7kg cooling unit nested in the top of the case. A front 120mm fan can be installed for extra HDD cooling if so desired.

The motherboard panel is removable which makes installation of the motherboard quite easy, the panel is held in place by 2 screws which can be accessed by removing the right side panel.

The top part of the case houses the VapoChill cooling unit; it's cooled by 2 large 120mm Sunon fans which are speed regulated through the ChillControl center; by default then run at 75%.

The ChillControl regulates the fan's speed, checks on the evaporator's temperature and gives a signal to the motherboard to boot when the evap's head is cold enough. The system works flawlessly without any known motherboard incompatibilities;

But I'm running ahead of myself, before you can install the evaporator head on your CPU there are a few steps which need to be taken.
