Looking into the case

Closer look into the case:

First thing you will notice is the unique screw less expansion slot hold down mechanism and the 120mm Exhaust and optional 120 mm intake fans. Removable tool box in the HDD cage in case you have to have more than 7 hard drives. Two 80mm side panel fans giving comfort to video card and memory plus top blower and the panel lock are some of the key features. The tool box is secured by two screws.

120mm fan rear exhaust comes standard, the easy snap on front 120mm fan socket aids easy access and the unrestricted front intake bezel has "no filter provision". The front bezel and front intake cover could be taken out or removed without tool and without removing the side panel.

Two side Panel and Top LED fans "one of the two side panel fans comes with both 3-pin and 4-pin molex and the top blower comes with 3-pin connectors". The 80mm fans are turning at ~3,000 RPM. Panel lock is provided for security as mentioned above. Clear plastic side panel is flushed with the rest of the metal indicating the clear acrylic is molded according to panel pattern design which has a rather "busy" look. A 10 cm CCFL light is included in the package together with manual and mounting hardwares.

Both USB and Audio ports are located on top of the case for easy access; both left and right side panels are secured by thumb screws. The case has no Firewire port provision.

Audio and USB motherboard headers are provided

With swing out footings, Transformer sits higher on the floor rather than sinking into the carpet. The drive bay cover could be removed easily by aligning the "C" shape opening hinge to the lock pins. The reset switch is located on the right side opposite to the power on/off which is accessible with drive bay cover closed, certainly a nice feature. Mounting rails are provided for HDD, Floppy and optical drives. However, the motherboard tray is non-removable.

Initial visual inspection found no defects; no sharp edges with exception of the power supply back plate. However the paint job could be better.
