Conclusion:Well after a few sleepless nights benchmarking and generally torturing these little beauties, what did I think? Kudos to Corsair for continuing their legacy in producing some very fine performing memory modules that outperformed their rated specifcations.
The memory bandwidth available at 275+MHz memory speeds was simply astounding and records for myself. I have a feeling that the limitations I experienced were not entirely memory related, so I have hope that performing the VDD modification to my MSI K8N Neo2 will promote higher HTT and Memory speeds. In addition, I will be testing a new FX55 CPU in about 2 weeks that may provide a better memory controller and allow higher speeds. However, at the levels I was able to run, I was thoroughly pleased with this memory.
There's a well known saying that "you get what you pay for", and while Corsair is definitely not priced in line with generic/OEM memory, you are getting substantially more performance and a solid company to back these premium modules. I would highly recommend the Corsair TwinX 1024-4400C25 to individuals seeking the highest performance from their PCs.
I would like to thank Joe James and Anna Kunkle of
Corsair for providing these memory modules for our review purposes.
