Well, if you’re a benchmarking-geek, some of the tests will increase heavily through overclocking (duh)… Main word in this sentence is SOME.

If you’re a gamer, it paints another picture though;

You’re not buying a 3000+ euro setup to game in 640*480, and that is exactly where the substantial increases can be seen, varying from 15-20%. When you up the resolution and the eye candy, the advantages of extreme CPU-overclocking in a GPU-dominated environment quickly decrease to naught- zero-nil…

My overall thought? The high-end GPU-market is NOT ready for a 3Ghz Athlon FX. Maybe we should just start overclocking our GPU with another Vapochill LS and make the efforts worthwhile, but that's for next time :-)
