Today, we are looking into the two most commonly used coolers; 661C for socket 478 Pentium 4 and V558A for socket 462 AXP provided by CoolJag.

CoolJag 661C

CoolJag, a Company founded in 1986 making bicycle derailleur and brake cable to becoming a player in providing electronic thermal solution in 1999 demonstrates the need in diversity in a successful business.

Today, we are looking into the two most commonly used coolers; 661C for socket 478 Pentium 4 and V558A for socket 462 AXP provided by CoolJag.

CoolJag 661C is designed to challenge S-478 Prescott, hence the marking on the box.

The 66IC comes with 70x70x15 mm fan; the mounting is very easy using the two levers that hook right onto the retention bracket. The pressure is not extreme and the “right” feels when locked.

The base finish is one of the better one; almost mirror like finish.

Update "We have been informed that the thermal material specification listed on CoolJag's website does not conform to U.S. Label Law requirement regarding silver content. (note the 10% silver content listed). Article listing the silver content had been tested at this link. We understand this may happen as their supplier may not have informed them properly. We have informed CoolJag and hope that the correct the specs accordingly."
