They offer now there Cube Case for the "build your own (home) server" users among us. And their number is growing, as we have more laptops and PC's at home. So organize your documents, pictures, music and movies on one place, with some back-up options.

Testing the software and Conclusive Thoughts

Time to install Microsoft's Home Server Vail (beta) As from the MS website you can download a beta version, it's always fun to try this out. But please keep in mind this is not 100% stable yet!

Put in the DVD and away we are for a new system in my network at home.

And we are done

Installing the software took a bit longer compared to the time to build the server.

The server is very quiet even on playing a DVD from the drive, but this is more due to what dvd-reader/burner you buy. It's a real treat to my ears and I am very into the low noise in my living room.

In the big world of Cases, Vidabox earns a special place. As they made cases by listing to feedback from users, and not go for the over the top designs. A very good simple product. Servers are mostly kept away from sight, I will keep this one in sight though as it matches the style of my LCD and sound system.

Overall I am very pleased with this case and will be using it for Home server and HD matrial streaming to my LCD tv. So storing my movies and music plus a back up for my main systems. Combined WHS HTPC as we speak.

The Vidabox CubeCase Mini-ITX PC Chassis will go on sale for $99 today, which is pretty good value for money, but wait... there's more. Madshrimps readers will get a $5 off by using coupon code "CubeCase-[M]" (without quotes) at time of check out. This means our readers can buy this case for $94! That's quite a steal if you ask me.

We like to thank Steven from Vidabox for making this review possible, until next time!
