ZOWIE GEAR G-TF & SWIFT Black Mouse Pads Review

Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2010-09-13

These mouse pads from ZOWIE GEAR do not have catchy artwork or fancy features, but offer what any professional gamer would want: very good precision, smooth surface and durability.

A Closer Look Part 2

SWIFT black Mouse Pad

The SWIFT mouse pad can be found inside a simple cardboard box, with a large ZOWIE logo in center

On the upper left part of the frontal side, we can see the name of the product and the fact that it is specially made for gamers:

The opposite part holds a ZOWIE logo:

On the back of the box, we can find the product features written in different languages, the Abdisamad 'SpawN' Mohamed photo, which tells us that this pad was also developed by this professional gamer in cooperation with ZOWIE; to the right, we can see again the ZOWIE logo, along with the SpawN one:

The box is also sealed from both sides:

The hard plastic pad is all black and features a SpawN logo in center, along with the ZOWIE logo on the upper right side:

Here is a closer look on the central SpawN logo, which is harder to see from the distance, mostly because of its color. The movement of the mouse on this surface is faster even compared with the G-TF, but we can expect the mouse to make some more noise when moving it faster on the pad:

The back of this mouse pad is interesting: it has multiple ZOWIE logos and a protective transparent film on top, which must be removed before the first use:

The base with the multiple ZOWIE logos is made from a special rubber that prevents the pad to slip on the surface we sit it on; this bottom surface may get dirty from time to time, but after washing it with water, it will be like new:
