Conclusion

Conclusive Thoughts

Gigabyte positions this board as an ideal board for home theater PC. This is true, but the board also has enough features to use it as a high-end system with a fast cpu, enough memory and a dedicated video card.

Compared to the MSI H55M-E33 the Gigabyte board is a little bit quicker, but also uses a few Watts more for this, with about 5W difference between the Gigabyte H55N and the H55M from MSI.

With a suggested retail price of about €110 the board is not the cheapest H55 on the market but it isn't extremely expensive, considering the USB3.0 controller included on this board. Usually the market prices are somewhat lower, so we can expect this board to be in stores for less than €100.

Overall we can see the Gigabyte H55N-USB3 is a nice board that performs well. The price is a bit higher than ATX and µATX boards, but if you are looking for the smallest solution possible the Gigabyte is a good candidate.
