3DMark 2001 Benchmark3DMark was tested using the default settings.
Each resolution was run 1 time followed by a reboot.

| 3.4 Catalyst | 3.5 Catalyst | 3.6 Catalyst | 3.7 Catalyst | 3.8 Catalyst | 3.9 Catalyst |
1600x1200 | 4791 | 4802 | 4803 | 4816 | 4800 | 4823 |
As you can see here each new driver increased the score (but not by a shocking amount)

| 3.4 Catalyst | 3.5 Catalyst | 3.6 Catalyst | 3.7 Catalyst | 3.8 Catalyst | 3.9 Catalyst |
1280x1024 | 6556 | 6628 | 6583 | 6611 | 6633 | 6646 |
Same here we see the score going up with each driver.

| 3.4 Catalyst | 3.5 Catalyst | 3.6 Catalyst | 3.7 Catalyst | 3.8 Catalyst | 3.9 Catalyst |
1024x768 | 8333 | 8398 | 8396 | 8404 | 8364 | 8382 |
Here something strange, when using the 3.8 driver scores went down (not a lot, only 40 point or so) but increased again with the 3.9 driver.
We can clearly say that the 3.9 driver is the best choice for “using” 3DMark2001.
