Neo Forza eSports NFP425 M.2 2280 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD Review

Storage/SSD by stefan @ 2022-02-12

The 2TB version of NFP425 from Neo Forza impresses in terms of performance and trades punches only with the 1TB version of the same drive. Thanks to the Phison PS5018-E18 controller with eight channels, 2GB of fast DDR4 RAM and no less than eight 256GB Micron 176-layer 3D TLC NAND, the NFP425 can offer high sustained write rates for most applications and in case it runs out of SLC cache, it will recover quite quickly! One interesting aspect of this particular drive is that the controller peaked at only 73 degrees Celsius, while the 1TB model has reached up to 77 degrees at maximum load, which means that it is more manageable in less-than-ideal ventilation cases.
