Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2021-08-16

The Prime Wireless offers quite a bit of bleeding edge technology in a small package such as the Prestige Optical Magnetic Switches, the TrueMove Air high-end sensor but also impressive battery life when not using the RGB effects (up to 100 hours). The mouse does also come with fast charging capabilities, being able to provide up to 40 hours of use after only 15 minutes of charging, an operation which be done when you are taking a snack between gaming sessions.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

SteelSeries has launched just recently an interesting wireless mouse from their competitive gaming series named “Prime”. This series includes a headset, Arctis Prime but also a new set of mice: Prime, Prime+ and Prime Wireless. While the first two are wired, the last one, as the name says, is wireless but can be used in wired mode as well. These three mice come with the new Prestige OM switches with an incredible 100 million actuation rating, a low weight but also very capable sensor systems.

The Prime Wireless has arrived inside a compact cardboard enclosure, showing a photo of the mouse on the top cover:

On the side of the box we will note the product specifications in multiple languages, but also drawings of the included adapters:

On the opposite side, we will note a photo of the mouse left side panel, highlighting the scroll wheel with subtle RGB lighting:

The main product features can be seen better on the bottom, in multiple languages:

The product code name, serial number and power rating can be also spotted on the box:

By breaking the seals, we could lift the top cover to find the main product:

The lower layer includes the documentation, but also the hardware bundle:

To be more exact, we do have the supplied USB cable for charging and data transmission, the USB dongle, a dongle adapter but also the Product Information Guide:

The manual includes the necessary information on how to use the mouse,  but also describes the main product components:

The supplied cable is flexible (paracord-like) and ends up with customized USB connectors; the connector which goes to the PC is USB-A while the one connecting to the mouse or adapter is USB-C:
