Patriot Memory Viper V380 Gaming Headset Review

Audio/Others by stefan @ 2021-04-19

Even without installing the supplied software, we did really like how the Viper V380 does sound like, thanks to the very large 53mm neodymium drivers. The product is initially configured in order to offer more bass, ideal for gaming purposes but can be fine-tuned for other purposes as well by using the downloadable utility. The software interface requires a system restart for the headset to be recognized correctly but afterwards all will become functional.

A Closer Look Part II

On the outer area of the cups we do have RGB zones, a separate RGB-lit Viper logo but also a mesh middle area:

The metallic hinges do sport a dark grey finish and do allow further adjustment of the cups:

On the inside of the earcups we will find the central 53mm driver, but also a very thick padding covered in leatherette. This aspect allows the headset to be very comfortable even after multiple hours of usage time:

The left earcup does sport a similar design, but with additional interfaces as well:

Here we will first note the microphone port, which allows the Mic to be easily installed/removed:

Moving on, we do have a Mic mute button but also a LED toggle button which allows cycling through the available effects:

The Volume wheel is self-explanatory:
