Back in 2017, we were checking out the CORSAIR SCIMITAR PRO RGB, which did feature a 16000 DPI PMW3367 optical sensor, onboard profile storage, two separate color schemes but also fully customizable buttons and RGB lighting. The mouse was designed for people that needed more macro keys for mapping purposes in games such as MOBA or MMO but would also help when working with a lot of productivity tools.
The new model carries the SCIMITAR RGB ELITE naming and features an updated PixArt PMW3391 optical sensor, with a maximum resolution of 18000 DPI, a repositionable 12-button Key Slider Control System, a total of 17 programmable buttons, onboard profile storage, but also four-zone dynamic RGB lighting.
The product is shipped inside a medium-sized cardboard enclosure, with a photo of the product in operation right on the frontal area:
On the left side of the box, we will get to see the “Control Freak” saying:
The opposite area does highlight the Key Slider Control System of the mouse:
Next, we will be able to spot drawings with the box contents, but also a sticker with the product code name, along with the serial number:
Finally, we will learn about the product main features, which are placed in the back, in multiple languages:
After removing the top packaging layer, we will end up with the main product, in a mix of cardboard and transparent plastic but also some documentation:
As documents, we do have a Warranty Guide, WEEE guide but also the User’s Guide:
The manual will instruct the user on the mouse interfaces, but also how the adjust the Key Slider Control System, with the supplied tool:
Let’s take a more in-depth look at the SCIMITAR RGB ELITE mouse; the Allen key will help adjusting the Key Slider, underneath the chassis:
