Others/Editorials by stefan @ 2019-06-27

On the 27th of June 2019, Razer is celebrating something very special and to be more exact it has reached the milestone of selling over 10 million DeathAdder mice. Since the first model in 2006 (I do remember winning one in a contest along with the Barracuda HP-1 headphones and the Tarantula keyboard), Razer has perfected the model and launched over 25 editions so far.

Very close behind, the Limited Edition Classic series followed, that was only possible to acquire from the Razer web store; the company CEO was describing these products at the time ““In order to pay homage to our origins and the fans who’ve been through it all, our Razer Classic products with Blue LED backlighting commemorate a time when Razer first made its mark in the gaming world”:

On 6.11.2015, we have had the DeathAdder Chroma – Call of Duty Ops 3 Edition, with an impressive design:

On 14.02.2016, Razer came back with the DeathAdder Chroma – Rise of Tomb Raider Edition:

On the same year we have received the Deus Ex Universe DeathAdder Chroma model:

The September 27th 2016 date brought the announcememnt of the DeathAdder Elite Gaming mouse, featuring the new 5G optical sensor with DPI selector up to 16K, Omron switches and more:

Also on 1.11.2016, we’ve got an announcement regarding a new Chroma bundle, that did include the Team Liquid Edition DeathAdder Goliathus Mouse Mat:

The DeathAdder Crossfire was launched on 1.06.2017:

Moving further to 2017, we have got the Destiny 2-themed set of peripherals, which also included the Destiny 2 DeathAdder Elite:

We should definitely not miss to remind of the Overwatch-branded Razer DeathAdder Elite:

In order to celebrate SKT’s performance at the LoL World Championship, on 30.11.2017 we have got another themed DeathAdder:

The manufacturer has also released a more accessible version of the DeathAdder mouse on 10.07.2018, named explicitly Essential; this one featured a toned-down 6400 DPI optical sensor, but the same ergonomic form factor with 5 Hyperesponse buttons, 10 million-click life cycle and 1000Hz Ultrapolling:

The last DeathAdder mouse we know of is the Chinese SKU of the DeathAdder Essential, which was named DeathAdder Essential White Edition and was released on 3.08.2018:

That’s a ton of DeathAdder mice right there! Long live the DeathAdder series! We surely hope to see some more mice launching soon, probably an interesting, anniversary edition SKU?
