CORSAIR M65 RGB ELITE Tunable FPS Gaming Mouse Review

Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2019-01-18

Being built with the same high-end sensor as we have seen with the IRONCLAW RGB, with a resolution up to 18000 DPI, adjustable in 1 DPI increments, the M65 RGB Elite tracks wonderfully, especially after it has passed the calibration stage. While it feels about the same in hand as the previous M65 iteration, the fact that the Sniper and the thumb side buttons are brought closer together was a good design choice, since you can access these faster. CORSAIR has also made sure to optimize in order to make the chassis lighter, while the customizable weighting system has been retained.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

The last member of the CORSAIR mice new series is the M65 RGB Elite; this is an upgraded version of the proven M65 model with a brand-new PMW3391 optical sensor, 15% lighter than its predecessor at just 97 grams, while the thumb side buttons and the Sniper trigger have been redesigned.

The product is shipped in a similar packaging as we have seen before with the other models; right on the front, we are reminded that we are dealing with a “tunable” weight system, the fact that it is recommended for FPS gaming and that we can customize it further via the iCUE unified software:

The customizable weight system is shown as an exploded view on the back:

M65 RGB Elite is further protected inside a plastic mold and is offered along with the documentation:

To be more exact, CORSAIR does offer a Warranty Guide, the Quick Setup Guide but also a recycling information leaflet:

The whole setup process is described inside the manual, in multiple languages:

The 1.8m braided fiber, black USB cable is long enough for both laptop and desktop use:

The top panel of the M65 is smooth, thanks to the rubber coating; in the back, we will spot the CORSAIR logo, that is RGB enabled:
