Toshiba High Speed M203 MicroSDXC Card Review

Storage/Other by stefan @ 2018-08-03

The mainstream M203 High Speed microSDXC card from Toshiba is offering decent write speeds of about 24MB/s, permitting video shooting up to Full HD or taking photos at high resolutions with our preferred cameras. The captured multimedia content can be transferred to other devices thanks to the high read speed rate (about 92MB/s) and the product is also backed by no less than 5 years of warranty.

Packaging, A Closer Look

The M203 microSDXC card from Toshiba does take part of the High Speed series and is available with multiple storage capacities (16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB). This particular model is aimed at the mainstream segment and Toshiba recommends it for use in cameras and mobile phones.

M203 is shipped inside a simple cardboard enclosure, with the main highlights listed on the frontal layer; our sample did also include the optional microSD adapter:

On the back side of the packaging, we will get to see some information regarding the total, usable free space of the 256GB model, some compatibility notices but also the usual internal numbers and SN:

Besides the cardboard layer, the card along with the adapter are protected inside a sealed transparent plastic enclosure:

The microSD adapter carries the ADP-HS02 code name and with it we can also lock the card in read-only position:

On its back, we will observe the gold plated contacts, but also a manufacturing date:

The M203 card comes with Speed Class 1 (U1) rating and a maximum read speed of 100MB/s:
