CHERRY MW 4500 Ergonomic Wireless Mouse Review

Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2018-04-29

Since the MW 4500 does come with a rather unusual shape, the user needs a bit of time to get used to it, when coming from a regular office mouse. The wireless feature is an added bonus, while the dongle is really small in order to be used with both laptops and desktops, without obstructing devices connected to nearby ports. For some extra flexibility, we do have three DPI steps to choose from: 600 / 900 / 1200 but considering the maximum DPI value we would not recommend it as a gaming product.

Packaging, A Closer Look

The well-known CHERRY manufacturer has recently sent to our lab another interesting peripheral, which is an ergonomic mouse for reducing wrist strain thanks to its quite unique design. The product is shipped inside a simple, small cardboard enclosure that does show a photo of the item, along with its receiver:

On the back side, CHERRY has listed the product main features, along with the box contents and system requirements:

Lateral views of the mouse can be spotted on the sides of the packaging:

Besides the actual product, the manufacturer has included an Operating Manual but also batteries for the mouse:

Inside the manual, CHERRY does show how the DPI steps can be changed, how to switch the mouse On/Off but also how to conserve battery life, store the Nano receiver, clean the mouse and more:

Thanks to the 45-degree angle shape, the hand does sit comfortably; this posture prevents discomfort of the tendons and joints:

On the left side of the mouse where the thumb does rest, CHERRY has placed two extra buttons which are easy to access:
