CORSAIR Hydro Series H115i PRO RGB Liquid CPU Cooler Review

Cooling/CPU Cooling by stefan @ 2018-02-25

By using Asetek’s Gen6 design, a reworked LED lighting system and the highly-awarded ML fans, H115i PRO RGB does succeed to drive stock and overclocked systems, while maintaining considerably lower noise levels than before! The cooler can also function in Zero RPM mode, as we have seen with several newer video cards and is controlled by LINK, from where we can adjust the speed of each fan, choose from one of the three pump operating modes, but also work with the LED lighting system options.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

The new AIO series from CORSAIR does also include the H115i PRO RGB, which is meant as an upgrade versus the “older” H115i thanks to the new ML fans, updated pump, tubing but also a new “Zero RPM” profile as we have seen with various video card cooling systems nowadays.

The product is shipped in a rather large cardboard enclosure, which sports the usual CORSAIR box art; right from the top cover, we will get to see how the whole system does look like and the manufacturer has also included here some of the product main highlights:

On one of the box sides, we will be able to check the socket compatibility list; the product retains compatibility with most major CPU sockets, including the older FM1/FM2/1150:

Nearby, CORSAIR does remind us the configuration flexibility the H115i PRO RGB does have, thanks to the LINK software technology:

The opposite side does list again some of the H115i PRO RGB main features:

For more in-depth explanation of the included technologies, but also the technical specifications, we need to check out the bottom side of the enclosure:

After lifting the top cover, we will get to see the AIO cooler along with its bundle, in the usual arrangement:

Inside the manual, CORSAIR does show the included bundle components, but also the installation instructions for each socket:

The two 140mm fans are packaged separately, while the rest of tools do reside in a re-sealable plastic bag:

We are getting a plastic backplate which fits multiple Intel sockets, the AMD mounting bracket, screws for fitting the fans to the radiator, screws for fitting the radiator onto the case, but also mounting accessories for both Intel/AMD sockets:
