Silicon Power Mobile C50 Triple-Interface USB 3.1 Flash Drive Review

Storage/Other by stefan @ 2018-01-23

Even if the Mobile C50 does have only a length of 41.7mm, a width of 15mm and a height of 7mm, Silicon Power has succeeded to provide no less than three USB interfaces with it, so it’s compatible along a large number of devices. Its chassis is made of TPU and the product is available in 32GB, 64G and 128GB capacities.

Packaging, A Closer Look

We have reviewed lots of interesting USB flash drives from Silicon Power in the past, but none of them provided such many connectivity options as this one -> Mobile C50 does have available USB Type-A, USB Micro-B but also USB Type-C while maintaining a small chassis for portability reasons. The product is shipped inside a simple cardboard packaging with a small plastic layer, so we can see how the product does look like even without unsealing it:

On the back layer, we will be able to see a short product description in multiple languages, supported operating systems, some downloadable resources, but also the product cude name and serial number:

Judging by its look, you would be first tempted to think that this is a regular USB flash drive with a plastic chassis:

If we do turn the drive on its back, we will reveal the secondary USB port:

In the back, the drive does also house an opening for fitting a lanyard; we can, of course attach it to a keychain:

The regular USB Type-A connector can be opened in order to reveal the secondary connector, which is Micro-B:

The opening mechanism is quite interesting and it should not wear out quickly:

The USB Type-C connector is protected by the plastic shell:

We can easily attach the drive to portable devices such as tablets, smartphones or laptops:
