When compared to other mechanical keyboards, the Ornata Chroma looks quite compact (without the wrist rest attached that is) and the Chroma lighting never disappoints > the effects are rendered very smoothly and configuration is easy to perform by any user. We have tested the keyboard in games such as GTA V, Paragon, DOOM, Black Desert Online but also Carmageddon Max Damage and we can really say that we liked the combination of rubber dome keyboard feel, but with a tactile click as the Cherry MX Blues do have. While the keyboard typing experience is quite unique and great even when writing large documents, it may not be preferred to people which do like silent keyboards, with switches such as the Cherry MX Silent.

The keyboard is accompanied by the unified Razer Synapse software, which allows saving configurations straight to the cloud and the key remapping is straight forward. As with the LED lighting, all the keys are programmable and we can work with other goodies such as Chroma Apps, view the current typing stats or synchronize our current LED lighting setup with the rest of the Chroma-enabled peripherals.

The included wrist-rest has a simple, magnetic attachment solution so it is really easy to detach it on-the-fly; unlike the accessories we have seen from other manufacturers, this one has a leatherette cushion which is not only comfortable but adds to the professional look of the keyboard.
