Corsair has recently upgraded the Scimitar series with the PRO RGB models, which feature a 16000 DPI PMW3367 optical sensor, onboard profile storage and comes in two different color schemes. The RGB lighting can be configured in four different areas, the twelve side button assembly can slide inside the chassis in order to be easy accessible, while the product is fully supported by the CUE 2 software, which allows powerful customization and integration with other RGB Corsair Gaming peripherals.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

From the last Corsair mice lineup, we did really miss out testing the Scimitar RGB mouse, which was designed for MMO but also MOBA gamers thanks to its high number of programmable keys, as we have also seen with the ROCCAT Nyth. Scimitar has made a return in the form of the PRO RGB version and as improvements, we could remind of the new native 16000 DPI PMW3367 optical sensor developed in a partnership with PIXART, but also the added onboard profile storage.

The product is shipped inside a compact cardboard enclosure, which does sport the usual Corsair Gaming color scheme and on the front cover we can spot some of its main highlights:

The location of the programmable buttons is highlighted on the back side of the box, while we do also get a small product description from a professional WoW player:

The top cover of the box also opens up like a book, in order to reveal more details on the product:

As a bundle, the Scimitar PRO RGB mouse also receives a thumb hex key, a Warranty Guide leaflet but also the Quick Start Guide:
