Packaging, A Closer Look

Cougar is another established competitor on the gaming peripheral market, which is insanely competitive at the moment. Besides the usual gaming mice, keyboards and headsets, Cougar does also manufacture PC cases, power supplies, cooling fans but also offer custom accessories as mouse pads, metallic keycaps for their mechanical keyboards, mouse bungees; they are also present now in the gaming chair field in order to compete with other manufacturers as AKRacing, DXRacer, Arozzi and so on. The first product we are going to look at from their new series is the Revenger gaming mouse, which comes with a powerful sensor, RGB lighting, a comfortable shape and more; the product is shipped inside a small cardboard enclosure, which does show the product in operation on the top cover, along with a list of the main highlights:

On one of the box sides, we will get to see some more details on the product:

The list of specifications is also available on the opposite side:

This is not all! A more detailed product review is available on the back, along with more explanations, in multiple languages:

The enclosure opens up like a book, in order to offer a clear view of the product, along with a description:

Our sample has shipped with zero accessories, but the retail packaging should contain a set of Cougar stickers, but also one User Manual:

Revenger does come with a shape more down-to-earth, and not as futuristic as the 700M model we have tried out in 2014; since it is longer a bit versus the Rival 700 from SteelSeries, we could successfully use it with a palm grip, while the top dark-grey cover does not become slippery during prolonged use. OMRON switches are being used for extended durability of the left/right buttons:

On the mouse rear area, we get to see a LED-lighted Cougar logo, along with an additional LED curved band:
