Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2016-10-03

The CHERRY MW 2310 was clearly not thought for high-end gamers, but occasional gaming and plenty of office work is fully doable; we get an infrared sensor which resolution up to 2000 DPI, wireless 2.4GHz technology, incredible battery life, the possibility to use the product with only one battery at a time, symmetrical design for ambidextrous usage but also two programmable buttons via the supplied software.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

In this review we will take a look a bit on a mouse product, built by the well-known CHERRY manufacturer which supplies the MX switches for many other brands. This is a wireless model and was not thought as a high-end product, but mostly for the mainstream segment and sports incredible battery life. The product ships in a small box as we have seen with several OEM mice, nothing fancy at all:

The back side of the box does list the main product functions, box contents but also supported operating systems, in multiple languages:

Let’s open up the box and check it out:

Besides the main product, we will also receive two AA batteries and, of course, an Installation Guide:

The manual does have some important usage details, but also lists the area from where we can download software for it:

The supplied batteries are manufactured by GP and have a capacity of 2200mAh; this allows a service life of about 733 hours, assuming the mouse will be used constantly for one hour a day and 230 word days a year, a single battery change will be needed in three years.
